We all know that because of all the economical and other problems that took place throughout the course of 2008, it was anything but an easy year. However, we should all be proud of the fact that we persevered and made it through to 2009. Things aren’t going to magically get better, but everyone has shown that they have a very resilient spirit, so I think it’s possible for us to work hard and continue to get things back on track.
Although most of us don’t have the power to make changes on a global scale, we do have the power to take control of our personal financial situation. I know that my biggest goal for 2009 is going to be getting all of my finances in order. I do have some credit card debt, but it’s nothing that is unmanageable, and I think that as long as I focus on being wise with how I spend and save my money, I will be able to get everything paid off by the end of the year.
I’m just getting started, but saving money isn’t as hard as I thought. You simply have to look for opportunities to save (like getting online and finding a car rental discount code instead of paying the full price).
